Who would help you if suddenly you had nothing?  What does charity really mean?  Is there a journey of the soul?   These are some of the themes running through this award winning drama about a day in the life of a panhandler.  “Spare Change” was written by Edmonton playwright Mary Anne Trann & was presented at the 2008 Alberta Drama Festival Association’s One Act Festival in Edmonton.  The play won best production, best direction & best actor for lead actor Dale Wilson.  The play went on to represent the Edmonton Region at the Provincial ADFA festival where it won best production, best technical merit & a second best acting award for Dale Wilson.   As “Spare Change” had a limited audience at these earlier festivals, it is now being presented again at the 2012 Edmonton Fringe.
