Sea of Green was written by Andy Garland and is directed by Taylor Chadwick. Soon they will head off to rehearsal for fine-tuning the script and getting it up on it's feet.

We had between 50-60 people come out and many were new and some were returning. It was a great 2 nights of auditions. The following are two of the casts. I will update with the third cast tomorrow, as we are waiting on confirmation from one cast member.

Auditions for From Cradle to Stage - Complete
We had a fabulous turn-out for From Cradle to Stage Auditions. 60-70 people turned out and this was delightful! We saw some wonderful newcomers and some excellent returning auditioners and each of the three directors (Anne Marie Szucs, Taylor Chadwick, and myself) got plenty of people to choose from. If anything, we had more than we needed. It is sad to have to say 'no' to so many great people. Now, we have the wait on results. We are staggering our contact calls, so first one director will call and confirm with their cast and then the next, and so on, and so on. Luckily, all of us wanted different people as our casting requirements were quite varied so all of us are quite happy and none of us had to compromise on our first choices! Stay tuned for casting announcements!

OPENING NIGHTS! How I love them!
Tonight is another Opening Night. I love them. I love the anticipation. I love the excitement. I love the fear induced butterflies in my stomach. When we held auditions way back in October, it was in anticipation of this night. Beautiful Thing opens at Walterdale Theatre tonight. I hope to see you there!

Director's Preview/Student Night Tonight
If you have an invite from the Director of Beautiful Thing or are a student with a valid student I.D. you can come see the show tonight at Walterdale for FREE. It is technically a rehearsal (preview), but if you like theatre but can't always afford it this is an option for you. Seating is limited.
The show officially opens Wednesday, Feb 10th. Thursday, Feb 11th is our 2 for 1 night. Even without these special deals, I would just like to point out that we are one of the most affordable theatre options out there. This is also our 6-pack show so they tend to sell really well so if you want to see the show you might want to get your tickets early rather than later.
